The completion of this program grants you automatic affiliation with (STSA), and also group & community access. This was an intentional course crafted to equip the youth with deep space knowledge and promote space exploration in Africa especially Nigeria. As Africa emerges as a dynamic global business and market destination and joins the elite group of nations with satellites in space. The continent’s growing presence in the space sector is a testament to its innovation, ambition, and potential for future growth. Space tourism, while still a novel concept for many, has already touched Africa, most notably through Mark Richard Shuttleworth, the South African entrepreneur who became one of the world’s first space tourists. His journey serves as an inspiration for a new generation of Africans to look beyond the horizon and dream big. Nigeria stands out as a leader in West Africa’s space journey, being the first country in the region to launch its own satellite, NigeriaSat-1, in 2003. Today, Nigeria operates three active satellites: NigComSat-1R, NigeriaSat-2, and NigeriaSat-X, which play vital roles in disaster management, weather monitoring, and communication. These achievements underscore Africa’s growing capabilities and aspirations in the global space community.
